It's important to protect your oak veneer tabe top as the steam and heat from very hot dishes and mugs can, over time, loosen the glue holding the veneer to the surface underneath. This is very easy to avoid by simply using placemats and coasters. It's best to wipe up any spill immediately as liquids can seep through the veneer table top and loosen the glue. Don't use a sponge as this will more than likely just spread the liquid. Instead, use a paper towel or a clean dishcloth making sure the table is dried after cleaning. To clean the legs use a soft microfibre damp cloth to wipe any marks away, without applying too much pressure.

To maintain the colour and lovely soft faux leather covering of these dining chairs, we recommend doing a regular, very mild clean with some warm water and washing up liquid. This will stop the marks from general wear and tear building up over time and making the surface look grubby. When cleaning faux leather, don't be tempted to use an abrasive cloth or sponge. It's better to stick to using soft cloths, applying a gentle amount of pressure in a circular motion. Remember, scrubbing the surface will crack the leather rather than help to remove the mark!
