The shape of the Mellow is so open and inviting, and we found this design worked incredibly well as a bed with a high back and gentle curves at the corner of the headboard. What You Need To Know:

• The headboard of this king size bed is neatly finished off with a piping detail. Having a taller headboard gives a bed a more formal and impactful look in your room, and the Mellow does this beautifully with subtly curved corners on the headboard.

• The upholstery for the Mellow king size bed is a short pile polyester velvet but with the softer, matt appearance of a cotton velvet. This offers a soft look and texture without too much of a sheen. This type of velvet is a far more accessible way to introduce a plush finish to your home.

• The teal velvet colourway has a lovely rich appearance without being too dark. This is because the velvet has a pile, so it naturally reflects the light making the colours feel lighter than they first seem.

• The Mellow bed frame is made up of bowed beech slats which slot into place onto metal base rails, with plastic fittings. This type of frame helps to support your mattress and keep it in the most supportive and comfortable position.

• The legs of the Mellow bed are a painted matt grey finish. This is a smooth contrast to the fabric velvet upholstery and can easily be styled and coordinated with existing finishes in your bedroom interior.
