- What to measure when buying a sofa?
Measure the height, width and depth to ensure your new sofa fits and works in your space. Be sure to also measure any pinch points on the route from your front door to the room your sofa will be in.
- What is the 2:3 rule for sofas?
The 2:3 design rule suggests your sofa should be the equivalent of ⅔ the size of your room and is adopted commonly amongst interior designers. This works for separate lounge spaces but would not apply for open plan living/dining areas.
