Durable Etched Glass Finish
The iron content of regular glass means that it has a green tinge when you look at it from a side angle. For our Eve table, we’ve used a super white glass with reduced iron to minimise this green tinge. The benefit here is that you get a really clean and crisp white finish, without a cold green colouring disrupting the soft and hazy focus of the frosted glass.
To create the beautiful frosted glass finish on our Eve Extending Dining Table, we have etched the surface. This works almost like the opposite of buffing a surface to a shine, as it gives the glass a wonderful semi opaque appearance. You might think the word 'etched' sounds like the surface would be very rough, but this process actually makes the table incredibly soft and a dream to run your hands across. It’s the most durable possible version of a matt finish... what could be more durable than tempered safety glass!
The white etched glass finish works wonderfully well with our colourful Riva chairs as you can add a pop of colour to your dining space, but in a sophisticated and contemporary way. The Eve table just looks so elegantly modern when placed with a contrasting coloured fabric finish.
