Care & Cleaning When cleaning your walnut veneer, dampen a non-abrasive lint-free cloth and move in the direction of the wood grain. For more stubborn marks, apply a dab of mild dishwashing detergent to your cloth. Never use wax-based polishes or cleaning products on the veneer as this will create a cloudy and uneven appearance on the surface. To clean the tempered glass table surface, spray a non-abrasive glass cleaner onto a lint-free cloth and gently rub the glass clean in a circular motion. Then with a dry microfibre cloth, buff the surface until it’s dry. Alternatively, you can also use lukewarm water and dish soap to give the glass a good clean. With this cleaning method, make sure you wipe the soapy residue off of the glass to avoid leaving water marks. Top Tip: As the table top is clear, remember to wipe the underside of your table every so often too! When looking for a cleaning product for your faux leather dining chairs, always ask yourself ‘would I put it on my skin / body’? If not, chances are it’s too harsh to use on the faux leather. Don’t be tempted to use an abrasive cloth or sponge; stick to using soft cloths, applying a gentle amount of pressure in a circular motion. Scrubbing will just crack the leather rather than help to remove the mark. If you are ever unsure about the cloth you are using or about the cleaning product, it’s always a good idea to test it on a small area of the faux leather that is plain out of sight, before going ahead and cleaning the whole thing. Be careful of colour transfers from brand new clothing, such as denim and from clothing that uses darker dyes as this can potentially mark the leather. We recommend doing a regular very mild clean with some warm water and washing up liquid, as this stops the marks from general wear and tear building up over time and making the surface look grubby. If you'd like to know more, we’ve written a post offering loads of tips on cleaning and maintaining faux leather, which can be found on our lifestyle blog.
This dining table will be delivered to you unassembled. We do this to make the product as streamlined as possible for transport, ensuring that it gets to you in great condition. In this case, all you need to do is fix the legs to the table top, being sure to protect the surface when the table is upturned. The table will come with full assembly instructions and fittings. Because of the mechanism on the Marlow chairs, once they have been assembled they cannot be unassembled. Therefore, we cannot accept returns on this style if they have been assembled unless they are damaged.
