Glass Tables Are Great For The Illusion Of Space
September 21, 2018 at 10:29 am 0
We all want to make the most of our space. Whether that's creating sections in an open plan kitchen or maximising what little room there is available. This is where contemporary furniture comes into its own! Materials like glass and perspex create transparent pieces which create the illusion of space. In this post, we’ll give you a  rundown of what glass tables are great for when it comes to styling your home.

Glass Dining Tables, Great For: Strength & Durability

We couldn’t write a post about glass dining tables without mentioning tempered glass. All of our glass products, from dining tables to sideboards and consoles, are made from tempered safety glass that's been tested and certified to British Standards. This means the material is strong, safe and durable. All of our glass tables have been designed with style, practicality and safety in mind, so you really needn’t worry about the glass being precarious or fragile in any way.

Great For: Creating The Illusion Of Space

Being transparent, a glass table will give your room such a light and open feel, especially compared to a table of the same size but with a darker, opaque finish. For example, the Zen 6 Seater Glass and White Gloss Dining Table is a relatively large table but because of the slim glass top and gloss legs, the table has less of a visual impact and presence in the space.   If you don’t have the space or don’t need a larger table, opt for a round glass table. That way, you’ll have the space-saving qualities of a round table top with the added visual lightness from the glass. Styled with stackable chairs like the Riva, you can always add a couple more seats when needed and then stack and store the chairs when not in use.

Great For: Adding Some Colour

Glass dining tables are really versatile items. The lack of colour actually means that they can be introduced into a whole variety of different schemes. Glass is a good opportunity to introduce a splash of colour to your space through your choice of dining chairs.   Whether you choose leather, plastic or fabric chairs, the tactile material and colour of the seat can be seen from all angles. This makes a glass table perfect for showcasing your dining chairs.

Great For: Mixing and Matching

Having a glass table doesn’t always mean just a glass top. A table with glass legs means you can have the material or colour you’d like on the surface, but you get the space-saving a visual lightness from the glass legs. A table like the Aria has such a style impact and ‘wow factor’ thanks to the glass legs. It looks as though the top is floating in the air! Louis Extending Dining Table: Product Spotlight
August 17, 2018 at 3:27 pm 0
When it comes to a family dining table, durability is a must. It’d be no good having a table that looks the part but isn’t up to scratch when it comes to usability. We champion all of our dining tables as being fit for everyday use, none more so than our new Ceramic Louis Dining Table. This table not only looks great, but it’s incredibly durable and practical too. In this product spotlight, we’ll talk you through the great features of this piece has to offer, and why you need to consider having the Louis table in your home!

Practicality & Durability

Fajitas for dinner, buffet spreads and birthday parties are all great occasions, but they can take their toll on our dining tables. And who wants to hide a good looking table under a plastic cover? Well, you’ll be glad to hear that with the Louis this won’t be an issue.   The table surface is made from a durable ceramic that’s been backed onto tempered safety glass. Although a bit of a mouthful to say, this is what makes the Louis so sturdy. The ceramic top is resistant to over 100°C heat, so you can place hot dishes straight from the oven onto the ceramic surface and not worry about the material warping.     The ceramic is also fully scratch proof. This means it’s more durable than being scratch resistant, so ideal for busy mealtimes and families with younger children. You can fill your table full of plates, dishes and pans and not worry about damaging the surface.

Louis Table Finishes

Marble & Light Grey

One of the limitations of a real marble table (other than the price) is that it's porous. The marble backed ceramic finish is, therefore, a great alternative as it’s resistant to absorption. So you get the luxurious look of a marble table but with increased durability.

Softly Mottled Stone

The other two finishes for the Louis are a light and dark grey ceramic. If you look closely, you can see the surface has a textured stone-like appearance, rather than being one flat colour. This gives the table a natural look but with the added benefit of the durable ceramic. The darker of the two will create a real statement look in your dining area while the lighter grey is ideal for styling alongside modern finishes.

Make Room For All!

Extending dining tables are ideal if you want the option of extra seats but don’t need a large table up all of the time. Extending tables also give you added versatility and can help you maximise the space you have available. The Louis table has a single butterfly extension piece. It’s so easy to use; just pull the table apart then flip and clip the extension in place. The extension is stored within the top so you don’t need to think about where to put it when it’s not in use. This makes it incredibly user-friendly. Unextended, the table can seat four to six (using the table ends). With the extension in place, you’ll be able to seat up to eight. Seating will also depend on your choice of dining chair. For example, some chairs have a wider base while others are taller and slimmer.  So if you want to maximise the use of this table, it’s best to check the width of your chairs.
Louis Ceramic Marble and Deco Real Leather Extending Dining Set

Because of the wider seat of the Deco, the Louis is better suited to a six-seater set up.

Louis Light Grey Ceramic and Lucia Extending Dining Set

However, with the Lucia chairs, you can fit up to eight thanks to the slimmer shape of the seats.

Colour & Coordination

The extension piece is made from a quality MDF board. It’s satin painted to match the colour of the leg frame while also coordinating with the colours of the ceramic top.  The MDF extension isn’t heat or scratch resistant like the ceramic top, so it’s best to still use heatproof coasters and mats on this section of the table surface. The stainless steel leg frame is satin painted, same as the MDF extension piece. We’ve added an inverted 45° sculpted angular detail so the leg frame neatly tucks under the table top. This gives the leg frame a subtle yet considered design detail on the leg, without interrupting the smooth table surface.

Care and Cleaning

To clean the ceramic table surface, use a wet sponge and a mild detergent. It’s that simple! Because ceramic is extremely durable, it’s less prone to scratches and stains than a natural stone, so you can spend less time worrying about the clean-up and more time enjoying mealtimes.   To find out even more about this durable table, you can view the Louis Ceramic Marble and Light Grey Extending Dining Table, Louis Dark Grey Ceramic Extending Dining Table and Louis Light Grey Ceramic Extending Dining Table over on our website.   For more tips on how to buy the perfect dining table, take a look at our Dining Table Buying Guide.

Dining Table Guide: How to Choose the Perfect Dining Table for Your Home
September 1, 2017 at 3:47 pm 2
White gloss and glass dining table and colourful fabric chair dining setting In many cases, a dining table is at the heart of the home. It’s a place where friends and family can come together, sit down and enjoy some tasty food. So if you feel like your dining room needs a bit of a makeover or deserves some TLC, you’ve come to the right place! We've put together this Dining Table Buying Guide to help answer all of your dining table needs. From knowing your table measurements to choosing the right finish to coordinate with your space, we’ve got it covered.

How to Choose the Right Dining Table

If you’ve already started browsing the variety of dining tables on the market, you’ll have seen there’s a lot of choices available. Don’t let that overwhelm you though, as the first step will always be narrowing down your search. Ask yourself the following questions and make a note of each suggestion. Chances are there will be a table out there that ticks all of the right boxes!

Q1 - How will you use your dining table?

Everyday dining = a table that’s durable and easy to clean will be the main priority. Hub of your home = you’ll want a table that’ll bring people together in a warm and welcoming environment. Mainly for special occasions = a table with a wow factor and really premium look will be best to impress your guests. Table extensions will come in handy too. Doubling up as a workstation or desk = you’ll want a table with a durable surface and enough space for laptops and books.

Q2 - How many do you need to sit at your dining table?

2-4:  many two seater tables can seat up to four, so this is an ideal option if you’re a little pushed for space. 4-6: Having a table that seats six when you on average only have four is a great option (if you have the space) as you’ll always have room for guests. 6-8:  a six to eight seater dining table will be a real staple piece in your dining room. It’s sure to be an investment piece.

Q3 - What table finish would be best?

A glossy or matt table finish will instantly create a clean-lined a crisp look. Timber or wood finishes will add both warmth and texture to your dining space. A clear glass dining table is ideal if you want to create a fresh, open and modern dining setting. Choose a frosted glass table if you’re after a durable table with a soft, hazy appearance and a hint of colour.

Q4 - Do you need an extending table?

YES if:
  • You entertain regularly
  • You have the space to fill
  • You're after a versatile seating arrangement
  NO if:
  • You’re short on space
  • You don’t need extra seats
  • You don’t think you’d benefit from the extension

Q5 - What shape dining table would be best?

Round or oval - always feels social and is great for maximising any space. A round table top takes up less room and offers more seating flexibility. Square - gives an open and spacious feel with plenty of table top surface available. Easy to turn an unused corner into a cosy dining spot. Rectangular - lots of choices available and easy to fit within most rooms. Great match with dining benches. Hopefully, that will have given you a better idea of the type of table you are after. We’ll break each part down in a bit more detail later in this post.

How to Measure a Dining Table

We understand that measuring a dining table isn’t as fun as choosing shapes, styles and finishes. However, it needs to be done! To make things that bit easier, we’ve highlighted the main dining table measurements that you’ll need to consider:
  1. Table height. This is a key measurement when it comes to choosing dining chairs.
  2. Table length. This will help you decide how well the table will fit in your space.
  3. Table width. This is especially important if you are planning on using the table ends.
  4. Inner leg length. This is the table length from inside the table legs, not the length of the table top.
  5. Apron. This is the depth of the table top which will differ greatly depending on the table top material and table design.

And if the table extends:

Make sure you measure the table length both with and without the extensions in place. Ask yourself: will everyone fit? You’ll want to leave enough space for any extra chairs to be tucked in and out. Find out where the extensions are stored: separately or within the table top?     Top Tip: if the table extension leaves can’t be stored within the table, a great and safe place to store them is under your sofa or bed. This won’t take up any of your existing storage space and will keep the extension pieces safely and neatly out of the way.

Dining Table Spacing:

When measuring your dining table, it's also a good idea to mark out your room. To do this, cut out some fabric or card and lay it where you're planning on having your dining table. This is the easiest way to get a feel for how much physical space the table will occupy. We suggest leaving around 70cm to 90cm between the edge of your table and each wall or between other pieces of furniture in the room. This is so that chairs can be pulled out with ease and leaves enough room for people to pass through.

Dining Chair Spacing:

Allow between 60cm to 80cm per place setting, dependant on whether you want a cosier feel or a more spacious setting. Remember to also check the width of the footprint of the chairs you are considering. It’s where the feet will go that defines if they’ll fit or not. Measure between the legs from the narrowest point of the table to ensure your chairs will fit neatly under.     Top Tip: The length measurement of a table refers to the length of the table top, not from where you can fit your chairs tucked in underneath. Generally speaking, the description of the table will include how many it can seat, but if you are hoping to squeeze in a few more or use other chairs, make sure you check.

What Dining Table is Right for My Space?

If you’re short on space…

Opt for a dining table that has a space saving pedestal base. This will allow you keep the base of your table looking spacious, with the option to squeeze in and pull up a couple more seats when needed. A round dining table is also a little less restrictive on how many people you can seat giving you a bit more flexibility in a smaller seating area. Material wise, a clear glass dining table will be less visually impactful in a space due to the transparency of the glass, so this will help to open up the look and feel of a smaller dining room.

If you entertain semi regularly and have the room…

It’s best to upsize. So if you have a household of four, go for a table that seats six. If you have a household of six, opt for an eight seater table and so on. This is a smart table choice as the extra place settings won’t take up much more room but you'll have the seating space available for when you need it. A square or round dining table will create a more intimate dining setting as everyone will be sat equally apart, making it a great choice for sociable dining.

If you entertain semi regularly but don’t have a lot of space, or if you don’t want a large dining table all of the time…

Then an extending dining table will answer all of your styling needs! This is because you can extend the table as and when you need the extra seats. Just make sure the table has enough space to be fully extended. You’ll also want to check if the table extensions can be stored within the table top and if they’re not, whether you have a place to store them externally when not in use.

Once you have a better idea of the style of dining table you’re going to choose, the next step will be considering your dining chairs...

A round dining table… looks effortlessly sleek and smooth when styled alongside rounded back and curved dining chairs, such as our Form and Santo chairs. This look works so well as the shape of the table is carried through to the shape of the chairs to create a really soft and inviting setting.   An extending table… is a great match with a stackable dining chair is as you can stack and store the chairs when not needed.   Chrome or metal finishes... will allow you to match up table and chair legs.  Having a dining table alongside chairs with a coordinating metal finish will instantly help to tie the whole dining set together.     A glass dining table... is a great opportunity to add a splash of colour to your space. Clear glass can be placed alongside a whole variety of colours so you can really have some fun with your styling.   If you'd like to read some more tips on how to choose the right dining chair, check out our handy How To Choose The Right Dining Chair blog post.

Interior Styling:

A dining table is such a staple feature of any dining room. That’s why the shape and style you choose will really have an impact on the rest of your dining space. Whether your room already has a particular theme, or if you want to create a certain type of look, there is sure to be a table design that suits all of your styling needs.

Traditional Interior Styling (with a modern twist):

If you have more of a traditional interior and don’t want to jump right in with loads of glossy and reflective finishes, a great option is to go for a wooden table that also has metal elements. The Angola table, for example, has a wonderfully tactile wooden table top while the brushed metal legs will add a subtle yet sleek modern flair.

Scandi Interior Styling:

When it comes to Scandi styling, the colour palette tends to be very light and neutral. Using colours such as light grey and white gives Scandi style its signature clean and calming look, while the incorporation of wooden textures stops the space looking sparse. This is because wooden finishes help to add a touch of warmth. Dining tables like the Cleo 6 Seater Oak and Matt White Dining Table is a great way to add a practical yet stylish Scandi look to your dining space.

Minimal Interior Styling:

If you love simplistic design and minimal interiors, chances are you’ll want a dining table that reflects this too.  A table like the Neo 6 to 8 Seater Glass Dining Table, with its clear glass top and clean leg frame, are ideal as they add a modern and designer look without being too impactful or overpowering.

What Material Dining Table?

Now we’ve covered dining table sizing and shapes, let’s take a look at dining table finishes. We’ve touched on a couple of these designer finishes already, but here’s a comprehensive breakdown of each finish, what look it’ll create in your dining area and how to clean it.

High Gloss Dining Table

The Look: bright, fresh and super modern. Especially Good For: versatile styling. White and grey gloss finishes can be styled alongside a whole variety of dining chair finishes and materials in your existing interior due to their neutral qualities. Gloss is also a very sleek and contemporary dining table finish. Care and Cleaning: use a soft, microfibre damp cloth. You can add a dab of mild detergent like washing up liquid to clean more stubborn marks. Make sure you dry a gloss dining table after cleaning. Most importantly, avoid throwing anything sharp on or across the surface as this will mark the gloss.

Matt Finished Dining Table

The Look: soft, cool and contemporary dining. Especially Good For: a relaxed family setting. A matt dining table will also effortlessly blend with multiple finishes so it’s a quick style fix. Care and Cleaning: similar to gloss, use a soft damp cloth to clean matt painted furniture. Be sure to dry the table after cleaning and don’t drag anything sharp across the surface.

Tempered Glass Dining Table

The Look: clear, crisp and fresh. Especially Good For: glass is a really safe, durable material that creates the illusion of more space. Glass also allows you to be really bold with your chair styles and colours choices. Care and Cleaning: you can use antibacterial sprays, even ones that contain bleach, on a glass dining table as the glass is nonporous. Then use a specific glass spray, such as a window cleaner, to protect the surface from smears using a lint free cloth. Alternatively, you can also use soapy lukewarm water and dish soap to give the table a good clean.   Top Tip: Remember to also clean the underside of your glass table if it’s transparent. It won’t need an in depth clean like the top surface, but it’s still important to clean and maintain the underside to keep your table looking its best.

Frosted Glass Dining Table

The Look: soft, slightly hazy and calming. Especially Good For: durable dining. Frosted glass is the most durable possible version of a matt finish as it is made from tempered safety glass. It’s a luxurious but practical smooth finish. Care and Cleaning: to clean frosted glass, use a non-streaking window cleaner or antibacterial spray and a soft lint free towel. Don’t place hot utensils straight from the oven onto a frosted glass surface and don’t drag anything sharp across the table surface.

HPL Finish Dining Table

The Look: satin with a subtle sheen. Bright but not glossy. Especially Good For: families and busy mealtimes. HPL is incredibly strong, durable, practical and easy to maintain so it’s an ideal choice for something as often used as a dining table. Care and Cleaning: HPL can withstand common household cleaners such as washing-up liquid or antibacterial spray, so these are all fine for use on the surface. However, stay away from corrosive chemicals such as descaling agents, oven cleaners, chlorine and acetone as this will damage the surface.

If you'd like to learn more about HPL, we've featured this durable finish in a Material Spotlight blog post which you can view here.

White or Grey Oak Veneer Dining Table

The Look: the best of both; the texture of timber with a clean even painted surface. Especially Good For: a setting that has lots of texture but still needs to feel modern. Care and Cleaning: use a paper towel or a clean dish cloth rather than a sponge to clean the veneer, as a sponge will more than likely just spread the liquid across the surface. For the best results, try to wipe up any spills as soon as they happen.

Timber Veneers (oak, black ash, wenge, walnut) Dining Tables

The Look: warm and textured with a crisp finish. Especially Good For: coordinating with other timber finishes. A wood veneer is a great alternative to a plain white or grey surface, and is ideal for adding depth and making quite a statement. Care and Cleaning: to clean a wooden veneer, dampen a non-abrasive lint free cloth and move in the direction of the wood grain. For more stubborn marks, apply a dab of mild dishwashing detergent to your cloth. Avoid using wax-based polishes or cleaning products as they are designed for raw solid timbers rather than veneers and can cause a cloudy appearance on the surface.

Real Wood Dining Table

The Look: tactile, warm and textured. Especially Good For: styling alongside more modern finishes. Real wood dining tables are both long lasting and very durable. They will also bring such a welcoming and inviting feel to any dining space. Care and Cleaning: use dish soap and water on your wooden finishes, applied with a damp cloth. Try not to scrub repeatedly in the same area though as this will damage the protective seal on the wood’s surface

Still can’t choose?

Go for a mixed material dining table. A dining table with a combination of finishes is a great way to introduce a variety of textures and colours in your space, without making your dining setting look mismatched or messy. We’ve done the edit on our range of mixed material dining tables so you know you’ll be choosing a piece that’s been carefully considered.

And Finally… make sure you use placemats and coasters each mealtime if you want to protect your table surface and keep it looking its best for longer.

Phew, we’ve made it! Everything you need to know when shopping for a dining table. We’ve also created a handy pocket guide full of dining table buying info that you can view and print here.   Many of the table and chair combinations shown in this post are also available as pre made sets. The Gloss Goss – 7 Top Tips for looking after your Gloss Table…
May 22, 2015 at 9:55 am 6
Modern gloss dining tables So, imagine this...you’ve just taken delivery of your new Danetti dining set - the brand spanking new High Gloss table looks box fresh and it’s reflective surface has got you literally drooling! Well, before you dribble all over your lovely new table, I thought I would answer some frequently asked questions and give you advice on how to keep it looking it’s best... Practical but gorgeous table protectors Should I use furniture polish to buff my gloss surface? Actually, there is no need to use any thing other than water and sometimes a very mild detertgent with an e-cloth. Silicone based cleaners will leave a greasy film over the surface which will be almost impossible to remove. Don't bother to use glass cleaners either...they are corrosive and will damage the tabletop. All you need to do is simply give it a very light wipe with an e-cloth...on this occasion -less really is more! My table has a funny mark on it - I was thinking of using a very soft linen cloth to sort of rub it off...will that be okay? Only if you’re on a mission to rid your table of it’s lovely blemish free smooth gloss surface! You really only need to use a microfibre cloth or an e-cloth - promise! My son often does his homework at the table - but it’s usually only pencil work - they can’t score the surface of the table - can they? Well never say never...I would say to always protect your table with a table protector when it’s being used for other purposes to reduce the risk of indentation and scoring the surface with sharp objects.. What can I do if my table gets chipped - should I just use something like white paint or tippex to cover it up?  It's unlikely that will happen - it takes quite a lot of strength and determination to chip our tables, so hopefully this isn't something you need to ever worry about. I have heard on the gloss grapevine that some people have had certain success with a white gloss chip/scratch car paint repair pen...apparently it needs a very light touch - but we don’t recommend any specific product. Sticky pad protects gloss tableAt mealtimes, I sometimes use oven to table ware - is my High Gloss table heat resistant? Well, like most table tops, hot items should always be placed on a trivet or heat proof mat otherwise you can scorch your table and cause irreparable damage. There are some lovely trivets and chopping boards around that will protect your table whilst adding character to your dining setting. My toddler spilt some of his drink at lunchtime - but it’s only water so it’s okay to leave it till I clear away the dishes isn’t it? It’s only a small amount? Ummm….well even though it’s only water, it's best to wipe it up immediately with an absorbent microfibre cloth. Infact, it’s best to avoid anything drying on the surface or you will be left with water streaks, but these can be buffed away with an e-cloth but it’s safer to just act quickly! Can I put my plates, glasses and vases directly onto the table top? Yes you can, but remember this is a high gloss product and whilst it is durable and hard wearing, to protect the paint finish and help it keep it’s good looks longer, we would always recommend using placemats and coasters. Coasters to protect table Do I need to invest in specialist cleaning products...and where do I get them from? High Gloss maintenance is easy peasy and requires little more than common sense so panic not! Check out my checklist below: What you need: A feather duster Pack of soft microfibre cloths Spray bottle filled with clean water and very mild detergent, Glass and polishing e-cloth When to use them: Daily basis: remove surface dust with a quick dust Messy days: Buff away fingers prints with an e-cloth and a little spray of water if necessary (onto the cloth not the table) then buff dry with a soft, dry cloth. Action stations: For liquid spills, wipe up immediately - if it’s a sticky spill use clean water and a very mild detergent and wipe with an e-cloth - never leave water to air dry. THE BIG NO-NO!: Don’t use chemical based cleaners - just pure water and an e-cloth

Living Focus: Grey Gloss Dining Tables
January 7, 2015 at 5:44 pm 0
We’ve launched a collection of Grey Gloss Dining Tables as a response to the strong interior trend. Not so much a passing trend, we are seeing the emergence of grey as a core neutral that is here to stay.
Fern with Eames breakfast set

The stylish Fern breakfast set

The Fern Grey Gloss Kitchen Table is the smallest of the Fern range that we have launched in this versatile tone. Also available in a 4 or 6 seater, we’ve added Dove Grey to one of our best selling lines. Grey Gloss has a similar element of warmth that you get from timber, a quality benefit that you don’t get with White Gloss. The particular tone of Grey Gloss that we have selected for the Fern is a truly versatile neutral, not to be mistaken with flat colourless monochrome. I see the popularity of Grey as symptomatic of our understanding of layering within an interior scheme. Contemporary is no longer about stark white lines and cold simplicity. You can layer and blend Grey Gloss with other gloss finishes such as White Gloss or even a very rustic unfinished oak. The emergence of grey dining tables especially is in part due to the fact that we are changing the way that we plan our living and dining spaces. Fewer people have separate dining rooms and there’s a definite move to more transitional spaces and open plan living. The dining area, as a space, is a mixture between the function of a kitchen and the interactive family living of a lounge space. The dining table is therefore often physically partway between the two areas. Grey Gloss is an ideal solution in the scenario; the reflective finish is crisp, sleek and coordinates with many contemporary kitchens whilst the colour is light enough to remain fresh, acting as a sleek contrast to other more tactile element in the room like upholstery and soft furnishings. Grey could be cold but it’s all about the hue. Soft not stark, we have selected greys that compliment other colours and can be easily blended with other colours and tones.

New Tables To Our Range:

Grey fern with teal and yellow and grey etc

Grey Fern extending table with mix and match Eames chairs

Fern Grey Gloss Dining Tables This is the lightest of our Greys, on one of our best selling tables. The essence and appeal of the design is that its perfect for fitting into many interiors so the colour had to mirror that. We selected a pale grey gloss with a hint of warmth allowing it to blend with both colour and neutrals. Natural oak floor would be a beautiful contrast to the soft colour. This table is also available in a 4 and 6 seater. Kitchen Table 800mm x 800mm: £119 4 Seater 1200mm x 800mm : £149 6 Seater 1600mm x 800mm: £199 Assi White and Grey Gloss Extending Dining Table This table gives you the opportunity to dip in and out of the Grey Gloss movement! Already on trend with it’s mid-century inspired shape the main body of this table is white gloss with the grey gloss being used on the removable extension leaf only. The colour here is a cooler mid-tone grey used to pic up on the brushed stainless steel on the legs. Again, we’ve made sure that this isn’t a straight black and white mix. The colour has depth, making it ideal with white, strong black or bold colour. With the grey gloss on the extension leaf only you have the versatility of many looks on one. Choose from a selection of colours and which type of metal finish you would prefer on the table’s frame and legs. Colours available include matt taupe with a powder coat finish and matt black veneer.

Glass Top Extending Dining Table

As the name suggests, this dining table extends. Don’t worry about damaging your floor when extending the table as the legs have floor protectors to eliminate wear and tear. The best feature of the Ancona table is the tempered glass extension, and this is what makes this dining table so unique. It uses a sophisticated magnetic wheel on the frame to secure the extension to the dining table. This makes it extremely easy to open, whilst creating an elegant floating effect on the table top.

Choice of 3 Different Size Options

This versatile table can be resized to suit your preference and the number of guests you are entertaining, with 3 different size options available. From the starting position with 6 places, the Ancona table can be extended both in length and width to accommodate 8 seats or extend even further to give 10 places for seats, for dinner parties with additional guests or entertaining indoors after a BBQ. When the extension is not in use it can be easily stored under table. Just slide the tempered glass extension under the table where it clicks in place using the magnetic wheel, without the need for any fiddly catches or locking mechanisms.
